​What the Training Is

This Harness Awareness course provides essential knowledge for anyone required to use a safety harness as part of their work at height.
It is suitable for employees, supervisors and managers who are responsible for selecting, inspecting or using fall protection equipment.
During the half-day session, delegates will cover:

• Legal responsibilities relating to working at height
• Types of harnesses and fall protection systems
• Components of a fall arrest system
• Pre-use inspection and maintenance checks
• Correct fitting and adjustment of harnesses
• Safe anchorage points and connection methods
• Limitations of equipment and common misuse
• Emergency arrangements and rescue awareness

The course focuses on raising awareness of hazards associated with working at height and ensuring harnesses are used correctly to reduce the risk of serious injury.
Training can be delivered in our Cullompton training room or remotely online. Many organisations choose to combine this course with other awareness training to create a full day programme tailored to their operations.
