​What the Training Is

This Legionella Awareness course provides essential knowledge on the risks associated with Legionella bacteria in water systems and how to control them effectively.
It is suitable for duty holders, responsible persons, facilities managers, maintenance staff and anyone involved in managing or monitoring water systems.
During the half-day session, delegates will cover:

• Health risks associated with Legionnaires’ disease
• Legal responsibilities under UK legislation and ACOP L8
• Where Legionella can be found in water systems
• Risk assessment principles
• Control measures and monitoring requirements
• Record keeping and management responsibilities
